Merchandising is one of the most tried and trodden methods to drive sales at retail.

What is merchandising?

Merchandising is the process of reviewing your product placement in store and making sure its positioned in such a way to maximise sales.

A surprisingly high % of sales are impulse driven - typically a figure of 85%, even on consumer durables.

The German Country Manager at Electronic Arts had one of the best simple merchandising techniques. Their biggest retailer, MediaMarkt/Saturn had rows and rows.
