Icons carry a lot of meaning in a small space. Hover over any icon in the app to see its name. This page lists what each one means and links to the articles that explain the idea behind it.

## Where the data comes from

Eebz holds two versions of many facts about a listing: what the retailer's page shows, and what your product record says it should be. An icon beside each column in the [Columns panel](/support/composable-columns) tells you which one you are looking at.

<table>
<thead>
  <tr>
    <th>
      Icon
    </th>

    <th>
      Source
    </th>

    <th>
      What it means
    </th>
  </tr>
</thead>

<tbody>
  <tr>
    <td>
      <icon name="eebz:extract" size="1.75em">

      </icon>
    </td>

    <td>
      Extracted
    </td>

    <td>
      Read from the retailer's page in the latest extract. This is what shoppers see.
    </td>
  </tr>

  <tr>
    <td>
      <icon name="eebz:pim" size="1.75em">

      </icon>
    </td>

    <td>
      PIM
    </td>

    <td>
      Held in Eebz for your product, SKU or listing. This is what it should be.
    </td>
  </tr>

  <tr>
    <td>
      <icon name="eebz:perfectpage" size="1.75em">

      </icon>
    </td>

    <td>
      PerfectPage
    </td>

    <td>
      A <a href="/support/perfect-page">
        PerfectPage
      </a>

       score or check, which tests the retailer's page against your standard.
    </td>
  </tr>
</tbody>
</table>

Take the product name. The **Product** column (PIM) shows the name held in Eebz. The **Product Name** column (extracted) shows the name the retailer uses on its page. Add both and you can see, listing by listing, where a retailer has your product down differently.

### Retailer page against your record

Open a listing and its sidebar does the comparison for you. Beside the name, GTIN, MPN, brand, retailer stock code and ECID, an icon shows whether the extracted value matches the value held in Eebz. Case, spaces and punctuation are ignored, and a GTIN also matches your alternative GTIN.

  </tr>

  </tr>

  <tr>

    </td>

## Product lifecycle

Where a product is in its commercial life, worked out from its release date and lifecycle length. A product has one lifecycle stage, the same at every retailer. See [product and listing lifecycle](/support/lifecycle).

## Listing lifecycle

The same symbols standing on a shelf. A listing is one SKU at one retailer, and its lifecycle is the product lifecycle adjusted for the product's [ranging](/support/ranging) and the [retailer's category strategy](/support/retailer-category-strategy). A retailer with a narrow range moves on from a product sooner, so a listing can be later in its life than the product.

## Ranging status

Whether a retailer should stock a SKU, given the product's [ranging](/support/ranging) and the [retailer's category strategy](/support/retailer-category-strategy), and whether it does.
